Matt Hardy is currently dealing with injury issues that are forcing him to take a break from in-ring competition. Hardy has been working as a producer backstage and learning the ropes for the next chapter of his professional wrestling career.
Recently Hardy worked as a producer backstage during SummerSlam. When he made his exit as an on-screen character on Raw he was using his ?Woken? character. This is similar to the ?Broken? character he was using in TNA. It took Hardy nearly a year to obtain the permission to use the gimmick in WWE upon signing with them in 2017. It looks like, upon his return to the ring, Hardy could be returning to WWE as ?Broken.?
He uploaded the following video to his YouTube channel, teasing that he has become ?Broken? yet again after crossing the gates into his Hardy Compound. Check it out here:
