You can take Jeff Cobb off the list of potential signings for WWE in the near future.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Jeff Cobb is expected to sign soon with Ring Of Honor. Cobb is one of the top names on the independent scene.
A deal with Ring Of Honor would mean that the would no longer work for most independent wrestling companies except PWG for 2019. It is expected that he would also work for New Japan Pro Wrestling.
There is a waiting period after the completion of the current season of Lucha Underground before he can sign a contract so it will take a little bit of time to get the deal done. Meltzer reports that he did get an agreement from LU that grants him a release after the end of this season.
