Last night former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio made his return to WWE TV as a contracted Superstar. This came after Mysterio reportedly signed a two-year deal with the company. ?The Master Of The 619? was a part of SmackDown 1000, where he competed in a non-title match against United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura in a WWE World Cup qualifier.
Mysterio was victorious in his efforts, winning the final televised match of the night before The Undertaker closed the show with a promo. It seems as though now Mysterio will get to challenge Nakamura for the United States Title at the upcoming Starrcade live event in Ohio.
WWE will host its Starrcade live event from Cincinnati, Ohio at the US Bank Arena on Sunday, November 24th. The arena is advertising a United States Title match between Nakamura and Mysterio. There is currently no update on whether or not the show will air on the WWE Network. Here is the updated card for the event:
