Mick Foley has had a tremendous career in the world of professional wrestling. The 53-year-old is a three-time WWE Champion, former Hardcore Champion, and an eight-time WWE Tag Team Champion. He was later inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame for his remarkable contributions to the business in 2013.
Foley was recently the General Manager of Monday Night Raw before being fired in a storyline, opening up the door for fellow Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle to take the helm.
Recently, Foley was interviewed to talk about several professional wrestling topics. During their conversation, Foley was asked what he?d change about the professional wrestling industry right now.
He answered by explaining why he?d like to change the perception that in-ring talents need to perform spectacular maneuvers to put on a great match:
?That is a tough question,? Foley said. ?I think the perception that a match can only be great if it has spectacular moves or multiple false finishes. I think there?s more than one way to have a great match.
?I think Superstars are pigeon-holed into delivering what fans have come to expect of what a great match should be. So, I think it?s just a matter of conditioning people and having guys out there willing to take chances.?
