On Monday afternoon, Robbie Fox from Barstool Sports reported that John Cena and Daniel Bryan are refusing to go to Saudi Arabia for the Crown Jewel show taking place on November 2nd.
His story appears to be accurate because, as reported on today?s Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE creative was told on Monday afternoon that Cena would not be going to Saudi Arabia. WWE hyped the World Cup during Monday Night Raw and they mentioned Cena but that could change in the next few hours. There is no update on Bryan?s status for the show.
As we wrote about earlier, the Crown Jewel show is very much in jeopardy. Tickets are listed online by the Saudi government but they have not gone on sale yet because WWE has not let them know yet if they plan to proceed with the show. The word is that there are outside forces involved and that might be what gets Vince McMahon to decide to pull the plug.
