WWE apparently didn?t have anything special planned for Daniel Bryan at Crown Jewel. Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Live that the finish to the Bryan vs. AJ Styles match on Tuesday night is what was planned for Crown Jewel. Basically, this means that the match was a one-and-done and Styles was going to move onto his next feud. This feeds into the speculation from many that Bryan is not seen as a top star by management even though they did everything to keep him from leaving the company in September.
Bryan Alvarez briefly talked about Daniel Bryan on WOL. He said, ?I am told that the finish from Smackdown last night was the Crown Jewel finish. Looks like no big plans for Daniel Bryan throughout the rest of the year.?
It will be interesting if Bryan?s decision to pull out of Crown Jewel will cause Vince McMahon to push him further down the card. It was clear during his last run that he was not seen as a top guy on the level of John Cena or Roman Reigns but there was hope that things would change during this latest run. It doesn?t look like that will be the case.
