We?ve said it several times in previous posts but it?s worth saying again that 2019 is shaping up to be a very interesting year for professional wrestling.

New Japan is looking to make big moves as rumors swirl about the future of Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Marty Scurll and Adam ?Hangman? Page. The Elite has made it clear that they are sticking together when they make their next move but that move doesn?t necessarily mean WWE, ROH or NJPW. Yes, there is smoke to those rumors about billionaire Jacksonville Jaguars owner Tony Khan being interested in starting a new wrestling promotion.

For that reason, NJPW is looking to bring in top talent and they are targeting WWE. On Thursday?s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer spoke about recent offers made to current WWE Superstars.

Meltzer said, ?There were some offers that have been made to some guys in WWE that surprised me in the sense of how much they could make outside of WWE.?

He added, ?One person who is there got an offer for ridiculous money for way less dates and it very much surprised me. This would be one of the top guys in WWE. New Japan is weird but they are willing to pay real big money like they did with [Chris] Jericho.?

There was no mention of who these wrestlers are but it is no secret that New Japan Pro Wrestling is interested in bringing back names like Shinsuke Nakamura, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows. Perhaps, there are other names in addition to those three mentioned here.

For what it?s worth, Nakamura did not rule out leaving WWE when his deal expires in a couple of months. Click here to hear what he said in August about possibly going back to New Japan Pro Wrestling when his WWE deal expires.
