The presumption at the moment is that Matt Hardy’s in-ring career with WWE is over. Hardy has been dealing with some injuries over the years and took a leave of absence from the ring after his run as RAW Tag Team Champions with Bray Wyatt. Instead, Hardy has been working backstage and learning how to be an agent.
Speculation about Hardy’s future has pretty much come to the conclusion that he’s retired from in-ring competition. One Twitter account shared an interesting fact about Hardy online recently. The account said that Mr. Perfect’s last match in WWE was actually against Hardy.
In Hardy’s last match, he was in the ring with Mr. Perfect’s son, Curtis Axel. Hardy responded to the Tweet, saying he has yet to wrestle his last match in WWE:
“My last WWE match hasn’t happened yet, so this particular cycle shall be #BROKEN.. But I’m sure the DELIGHTFUL cycle of Hardys & Hennigs doing battle shall continue in the future.”
