Last week on RAW, WWE announced a group of main roster call-ups from NXT, including Lars Sullivan, Nikki Cross, Lacey Evans, EC3, and Heavy Machinery’s Tucker Knight & Otis Dozovic. According to reports, the aforementioned NXT call-ups had been planned for the main roster for a considerable amount of time. Reports in October and November indicated that WWE was planning some main roster call-ups of NXT Superstars after the Survivor Series pay-per-view event.

Additionally, the success of the team Heavy Machinery will apparently depend on Vince McMahon loving or hating Otis Dozovic. The belief is that the team will be “OK” if Vince ends up loving Dozovic, but they would eventually be broken up, where Knight would get the short end of the stick. Dozovic could end up like SAnitY or The Ascension if Vince ends up not caring for them.

Triple H is said to be very outgoing about the top NXT Superstar call-ups being a success on the main roster, as that would reflect badly on the NXT brand if they fail. WWE NXT Superstars failing on the main roster shows they were never top stars in NXT in the first place, which doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Aleister Black was not a part of the latest call-ups. The Wrestling Observer claims that Black was on the initial list along with EC3 and Lars Sullivan going back to several months ago. It’s currently unknown when he might get called up to the main roster now and his call-up has apparently been delayed.

Lars Sullivan will receive “every chance to succeed” on the main roster. One would imagine for obvious reasons with his look, constant vignettes, etc.
