As we previously reported here on eWrestlingNews.com, there was talk just last month of having a Triple H vs. Batista match at WrestleMania 35. The storyline would play on a segment the two had at the “WWE SmackDown! 1000” event where Batista said that Triple H has never beat him. As noted, Triple H suffered a torn pectoral muscle at the WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view event in Saudi Arabia, which has put a halt to those plans. According to Slice Wrestling, there are still plans to give Batista a “major match” at WrestleMania 35.
Batista recently joined the cast of the Dune reboot, which begins production this spring in Budapest and Jordan. It remains to be seen if that will affect his plans for WrestleMania 35 or if movie producers will even allow him to work the event.
