Daily Grind: Famed daredevil Dean Potter highlines under moonlight in breathtaking new video
When you watch this recent video, you likely won't know what to be more awe-struck with--the enormous, glowing moon, or the strange man who crawls up from the left-hand corner of your screen and deftly scales the sheer rock tower, highlines over to another tower with what looks to be no safety gear, and then highlines back to the first tower.

If you do a little reading about the video, soon you'll realize that the man who seemingly cares little about death is Dean Potter, the famed BASE jumper, highliner, and all-around crazy alpinist, and everything all begins to fall into place. After all, what's a little highlining under the moonlight if you've slacklined (without any safety gear) across the Enshi Grand Canyon in China, or if you own the world record for the longest wingsuit BASE flight, a title you earned after free climbing The Eiger in Switzerland, jumping off a cliff, and then gliding for 2 minutes and 50 seconds to the earth?
The below Vimeo video, which was shot at California's Cathedral Park, is part of a larger National Geographic documentary on Potter called "The Man Who Can Fly."
