how do you deal with a break up

Me and tara broke up today after 3.5 years...idk wht to do. I'm 19 years old. I haven't been single since I was 15...what do I do? I feel so bad I feel as though I treat her so badly especially at the end. I was so obbsessive and what not. HELP!

Dude, women come & go. My first somewhat "real" relationship was when I was 15, and it was on the internet. Hence the quotations around real. If you need somebody to talk to, drop me a PM and I'll talk to you. I don't know you, but sometimes it is best to talk to a complete stranger so that you may vent. Also, don't do dumb shit like I did if it doesn't work out. There will always be another, even if you think not.

wwe9112, first of all show her that you feel bad about the breakup. whether or not you want to get back together is a moot issue...........show her that you still care. you are only 19 and still have your life in front of you, enjoy life and if things are meant to be then let it happen but don't force it. I didn't get married till i was 32, partly because i wasn't mature enough and mostly because I was busy enjoying life. hang in there buddy and keep on keeping on!

Its been a couple months. I did try to talk to her, but she told me to "auit effin talking to me." I was quite upset because I NEVER talked to her like that. She then later asked me to help her do her research paper - something I am VERY good at. I said I would and did. Being the nice person that I am. She then posted on FB that I was stalking her, and such. Since then I havent said a word to her. She had a new BF three days later. He is a drug dealer - so has a good amount of money. He is tall and skinny, something that I am not.

She posted on Valentines day on Facebook these gold earrings he bought her and wore them to school. Kinda hurt me because I bought her a promise ring which she barely ever wore. I do not deal drugs. I own my own business - barely makes any money BTW! Like I charge about 35-45 dollars a computer to repair, or upgrade, etc. I only keep - pocket - 10% so thats like 3 dollars. Her ring was $90.00. Plus tax and such. It took for FOREVER to be able to buy that for her. 2 months into them dating he buys her gold earrings. Real gold earrings. And she shows them off. He is a high school drop out drug dealer. 16 years old. Yes, I am boring, I am not a "bad boy." I work my butt off and got no apreciation for any of it. I do still love her with everything in me. I just don't get how you would want to be with someone who is going to be running from the law. Someone who couldn't finish school, and probably will end up in jail. She has a full ride to WVU, she is going to throw that away. She has came to school high several times, my best friend's locker is right beside hers he was telling me about it. It makes me so mad. I mean, I am glad she is with someone, but how would you go do that and throw away a great education. How could someone throw away almost 4 years of being with someone who is graduating, owns their own business, doesn't do drugs, works hard and is going to college for a 16 year old drop out drug dealer. It puzzles me. I cannot seem to get past her to save my life.

some things you just can't figure but it sounds like she isn't worth it. find some one who will work alongside you towards a future, not hold you down

coming from a guy who has been screwed over by two chicks in the past.

Try waiting a while, sometimes people need to time to cool off which is why you should never try to apologise straight away. it barely works.

If she still isn't interested, you gotta just pick yourself up and move on with your life, don't sit and brood (itll screw you up emotionally) get out withy our mates, consume yourself into one of your hobbies, do anything to keep your mind busy. The key to getting over someone properly is lack of contact. Thats not to say wipe every single memory of her from your mind, and don't just do certain things because they remind you of her. But don't go around trying to figure out whats shes up to at the momment, or constantly look at social media profiles (I know people who have done this, but not intending to be stalkerish... It made it difficult for them to move on)

Also, don't ever rush into a relationship with any chick just because you instantly feel she is the one, get to know her first, take your time and play it slow. I made that mistake with my last girlfriend and she screwed up my life, got my friend assaulted and tried to play the "abuse victim" card (which did not work by the way)

Let her go man ... you deserve better ... you are better than this .. I had a relationship with a girl for more than three years .. and she vanished in thin air you know :P ...

Be the guy who would make her regret her decision .. improve everyday ... just find that thing in which you are the best ..

eventually you will end up with a girl who'd be everything you have ever imagined .. and more ... it happened to me . now i feel so good about that break up .. because of that break up, I am what i am today and i met this girl .. a girl who is more than anything i ever imagined ...

it just takes patience ... a guy with patience gets the very best out of what life has to offer ...
