Three men die on Christmas Eve and were met by Saint Peter at the pearly gates.

"In honor of this holy season," Saint Peter said,"You must each possess something that symbolizes Christmas to get into heaven."

The Englishmen fumbles through his pockets and pulls out a lighter,he flicks it on and says,"Look,a candle."

"You may pass through the pearly gates," says Saint Peter.

The Scotsman roots into his pockets and pulls out a set of keys,shakes them and says,"They're bells."

Saint Peter says,"You may pass through the pearly gates."

The Irishman starts desperately rummaging through his pockets and finally pulls out a pair of women's knickers.

Saint Peter looks at the man with a raised eyebrow and asks,"And just what do those symbolize about Christmas?"

Paddy replies,"These are Carol's."
