Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com discussed the recent trademarks filed for a rumored new wrestling promotion entitled All Elite Wrestling. Here is what Meltzer said courtesy of WrestlingNews.co:

“Everyone in the business today, it was something that people were talking about. I can tell you that in WWE, I know of people that are very very interested in this. I know of several names.”

“There’s a lot of guys in WWE that are scared to leave.” He continued, “If somebody’s got a WCW-like thing out there, there’s a lot of guys there that would leave, probably.”

Meltzer noted that the key to this potential AEW promotion succeeding is securing a television deal. As previously reported, the rumored promotion appears to be financed by Tony Khan who co-owns the Jacksonville Jaguars. Names that have been linked to the promotion are Jim Ross, Chris Jericho, The Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes, Marty Scurll, Hangman Page and Kenny Omega although Ross and Jericho have downplayed having involvement.
